BOLT EXPRESSTo facilitate and accelerate mounting of mounted units and structures it is proposed to use a modified fastener — some modified gostowski the bolt and nut. The modification applies to their threaded parts on which are four symmetrical groove equal to the width of the remaining protruding threaded segments. Such design dramatically reduces the traditional time in the operation of screwing and defines a new technological approach to the works of this kind that is important in case of unfavorable working conditions or low temperatures.

 

A modified nut first, not screwed, but just coming on properly prepared bolt. While it is their screw segments slip on the grooves of the bolt until it stops at the surface of the fastened structural elements. It remains only a wrench to rotate by 45°. While its threaded segments are engaged with the threaded segment of the bolt, which ensures tightening of fasteners and fastening products, the Fixation of such a bolted connection is a conventional lock washers, for example — of Gower.

 

Turning away (removing) the nuts is carried out by turning the key 45° in the opposite direction.

It should of course be borne in mind that such Express fasteners broken the continuity of the thread, and hence reducing the area of contact of the bolt and nut that somewhat weakens the connection.
