RIGHT OR LEFT?

RIGHT OR LEFT?Turn indicator, which are explained in this article is intended for motorcycle “Java”. The advantage of the self-made device before the industrial — low inertia: the scheme starts to work immediately after switching on the battery.

The turn signal indicators are implemented on a single integrated circuit D1 and the transistors V2, V3 (Fig. 1). К1ЛБ338 IC consists of four dual input logical element “AND-NOT” (D1.1—D1.4). Together with capacitor C1 form a multivibrator, the frequency of generation of which depends on the value of C1 and is 1-2 Hz.

Element D1.4 and the resistor R1 constitute a decoupling cascade is connected between the multivibrator and the emitter follower V2. The latter controls the operation of the key stage V3 (КТ803А, КТ902 or КТ903), load of which are incandescent lamps H1—H4.

The inclusion of the left or the right lamps and the simultaneous supply of power to the circuit is via switch S1 to position 3. The elements R2, C2, V1 form a voltage stabilizer.

The circuit is mounted on a double sided PCB of size 68×50 mm, made of foil fiberglass (Fig. 2).

The device works reliably in wide temperature range at a voltage of 5-9 V.
