GRINDING HEAD

I want to tell you about how I make grinding head to work with a drill. They not just helped when I had to counterbore some hole or to “improve” a remote place.

 
So, take a chip of the grinding wheel and perpendicular to the plane of rotation of the drill therein a blind hole with an ordinary nail of suitable diameter. Then cut stylistas wire Ø 2.5 mm (knitting needle) wrapped with cotton and soaked with epoxy, glued into the hole. A chisel and the other piece of the grinding wheel, preferably greater hardness, give the first form of body of rotation of a ball, cone, cylinder, etc. with a diameter of from 10 to 60 mm. Finally I bring the workpiece clamped in the rotating Chuck of the electric drill or the collet of a drill, on elektrotochilo.
 
To head slowly worn out and not changed form, I strengthen them, impregnating epoxy resin. With such a tool work is slower, but less waste (the abrasive material does not fray), the higher the purity of the processed surface. So now I am impregnated with epoxy adhesive, even grinding wheels to the same elektrotochilo.
