THE TRUNK PLUS CASE

For the motorist the trunk of the car is not only convenience, but also a number of related problems. And first of all — observance of the required aerodynamics. The fact that in certain species, despite their seemingly openness, the trunk creates an additional “windage”, increasing wind resistance even at low speeds. This means additional expenditure of gasoline, the price of which today is “bite” harder. To remove the same and install it every time — the extra confusion. And should be placed in the trunk of even a small load — even larger impact windage.
The design proposed by the Hungarian magazine “Earmaster”, allows you to immediately solve all of these seemingly incompatible problems. The sides of this trunk in the version without load is not too will not interfere with the movement as it is formed in a flat pack. In the working position due to their height they provide the safety of cargo without the need for securing, and the case well protects it from the weather. Finally, another important advantage of the structure being removed from the vehicle, the trunk will not take up much space in the garage.
The main parts of the trunk are made on pipe bending machine from steel pipe with a diameter of 13 mm. the Frame is formed from two half-frames connected pivotally through welded lugs at the joints. On the long (longitudinal) part of the half-frames wearing five bushings, which are attached to the rack side panels (side panels). On the short (transverse) parts of two sleeves: half rack front and rear walls. To the extreme pillars of the sidewalls welded to the spring-loaded pin tumbler locks, and to the neighboring racks halves of the front and rear walls — return lugs. In addition, the connecting lugs are at the junction of the halves of the front and rear walls: they tightened bolts M8. Installation and mounting on the roof of the car — like a conventional trunk.
