Now available is a vast assortment of various acoustic computer systems — almost every company that produces computer hardware, supplies the market and the corresponding acoustics. The consumer only has to choose the right system, based on the ratio “price — quality”. But not everyone can afford the “cool” equipment, and at the same time, I feel that the sound was not worse. Well, for homebrew, even a novice, this problem is quite solvable: sound active inexpensive computer speaker systems can be improved independently. For illustration, the author offers a description of the modernization quite common columns SVEN (model SPS-828) made in China.
To reduce vibrations, eliminate noises and rattles, the side wall of the subwoofer inside was laminated foam 10 mm thick, plastic tube of the phase inverter is wound on the PVA glue several layers of paper, and some details of the motherboard built-in amp fixed with the help of glue “Moment”. The inner surface of the casings of the satellites were also covered with foam. To reduce distortion of the audio signal, too thin wires connecting the satellites with the subwoofer, and are provided with plugs mini-Jack, replaced speaker cable ballscrew-M 2×0,75 mm2, and instead of two output receptacles are used clips for the speaker (4 pins).
