Auxiliary Balance Beam for Crane: DIY Device Guide

Lever to help

Sometimes a load lifted by a crane beam or winch (when replacing an engine in a car, for example) needs to be lowered slightly to the side from the suspension point. In this case, an auxiliary balance beam made from a suitable pipe or T-beam may come in handy. An eyelet for the crane hook is welded to its middle, one end has the same eyelet for the load hook, and the other end has a handle in the form of an arc made from a rod. For small movement radii, this is quite enough for the load to “reach” the desired location. Observe safety precautions!
