A TRAP FOR MOSQUITOESAmong the devices designed to destroy high-voltage discharge of mosquitoes, latausha the light bulbs, and relates my development. It does not contain scarce parts, assemble it under the force of even the novice hobbyist, and just a few hours.

 
Mosquitoes, attracted by the lamp light EL1, trying to get closer. But in their way is a high-voltage discharger FV1 in the form of a capacitive obreshetiny framework of bipolar electrodes which are positioned 1.5 mm apart and connected to the diode-capacitor multiplier of voltage. Punching the air gap during the flight of a mosquito between the grating electrodes FV1 is reduced, the capacitor C6 is discharged with the formation of a momentary electric arc, and the insect killed.
 
Lamp EL1 is selected for a voltage of 3.5 V with a current of 0.26 A (e.g., from a flashlight), and is powered through the damping capacitor C1. The resistor R1 is designed to discharge C1 when the device is disconnected from the network.
 
Diodes VD1 — VD4 and capacitors C2—C5 form a voltage multiplier, its output is over 1200 V. This is the voltage across the resistor R2 charges the capacitive load С6С7, circuit of the discharge is the discharger FV1.
 
This circuit design has several advantages. These include the use of relatively maloetazhnyh, inexpensive capacitors type K73-9 or even metalaluminum MBM with a rated voltage of 400 V (C1, C2) and 630 (C3—C7). Capacitive chain С6С7 multiplier is charged by a small current during the time interval defined by the values of R2, C6 and C7, and is discharged through FV1 when trying mosquitoes fly to the light bulb. The discharge current reaches a value sufficient to defeat the bloodsuckers with almost absolute guarantee.

The discharger FV1 homemade. Its frame is made of plates of double-sided foil fiberglass with window and two crates from strips of bare copper wire diameter of 0.3 mm. each Step of lathing about 5 mm, and the ends soldered to the horizontal one and the vertical to the other side of the frame. Voltage close to the breakdown, is applied to both “plates” of the resulting capacitive obreshetiny frame for a high-voltage cable.
 
Chain С6С7 can be replaced by one high voltage capacitor (capacity of 0.5 µf, rated voltage 1500 V). Quite suitable, for example, increasingly scarce K73-50.
 
Diodes КД105Г interchangeable analogs, designed for a reverse voltage of 630 V. Acceptable and “rectifier pillars”, each of which is assembled of N series-connected diodes with Uо6р = 630/N.

Lamp EL1 is placed at a distance of not less than 50 mm from the grid of the discharger. Moreover, at the ceiling, where the mosquitoes usually flock.
