Small disk batteries are widely used in electronic equipment and in ham radio construction. But to charge them is not easy. Then stir and pure design features: the differences in the size of the disk batteries, no special conclusions for reliable connection to the external circuit and connectors between the individual elements in the batteries. In addition, it is necessary to control the magnitude of charging voltage and current using electrical appliances.
The industry produces a charger designed only for certain batteries. But given the existing variety of such power sources is not enough. And here’s something irreplaceable will be our “Universal”, designed for batteries Ø10—
30 mm and height up to 90 mm (e.g., D-0,06, D 0,1, D-0,25) or with a charging current of 1 A. the Device can, incidentally, be used as low-voltage DC and AC voltages.
“Universal” allows you to simultaneously charge the multiple storage batteries:

The device is powered by a network voltage of 127 and 220 V. the schematic diagram of the charger shown in figure 2. The magnitude of the AC voltage supplied to the rectifier bridge D1—D8 in the range from 1 to 15, set using switches B2—B5 with an interval of 1 V.
The rectified voltage through a smoothing filter C1C2R1C3C4 supplied to the terminals of the charger or on outputs G1, G2 (depending on switch position B8).
Stepless adjustment of the charging current of the batteries is a variable resistor R10.
Toggle switch B6 include milliammeter ИП1. Limit its change set by the switch shunts SH1. Voltmeter IP2 includes a switch Q7, and its sensitivity is chosen by choosing the value of the additional resistance through a switch ø2. Gauges ИП1 and IP2 (magneto head М2001) are protected by diodes D9, D10 and D11, D12.
The power transformer has the following data: core Ш19Х29, winding 1-2 contains 558 turns of wire PEL of 0.3, 3 — 762 round of PEL 0,51, 4-5 — 49 turns of PEL 0,8, 6-7 — 25 turns of PEL 0,8, 8-9 — 9 — 13 turns of PEL 0,8, 10-11 — 7 turns of PEL 0,8 and finally winding 12-13 — 36 turns of PEL 0,51.
In front of the protruding part of the housing of the device are the charging chamber. One or more disc batteries placed in the camera in a vertical position and squeeze the sliding plates which are connected to the charging voltage (Fig. 1). The plates are made of foil Micarta and are mounted on the base of the PCB with a thickness of 8 mm. attached To them two metal rod with which the plates closer or diluted (Fig. 3). For this there are two plastic disc Ø40 mm, thickness 4.5 mm, installed in the slots of the housing. The charging voltage is applied to the foil through wound in a spiral stranded connecting wires.
