July 13, 1962 from the Assembly shop of the Kirov factory has released the first tractor K – 700 “Kirovets”. Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, the plant was not randomly selected for the development and production of the most powerful and today the farm tractor. The oldest Russian enterprise in 1924 was able to start production of tractors “Fordson-Putilovets”.

In 1961, on the instructions of the government, in record time, was developed, and in July 1962, came to the fields of the country the first in the USSR wheeled tractor drawbar category 5, marked the beginning of the legendary dynasty of tractors “Kirovets”. The first “Kirov workers” had engine power of 220 HP and can work with wide-cut implements, which allowed to increase productivity in comparison with other tractors 2.5-3 times.


From year to year, Kirovsky Zavod has been steadily increasing its production so needed in the village machines – in 1975, coming off the Assembly line one hundred thousandth tractor K-700, and in the same year, begins production of tractors K-701 with an engine of 300 HP In 1985 from the factory goes for 300-thousand “Kirovets”. In the early 90-ies of the designers developed a series of road construction and forest machines based on a specially developed tractors K-702 and K-703. So mark “Kirovets” is becoming known not only agricultural workers, but also builders, gas, petroleum, and many others, where the technique Kirovets found a wide application due to its reliability and endurance. Latest K-700 off the Assembly line plant in January 2002, replaced by a series of “Kirova” index K-744r (250 and 300 litre .e.) the K-744Р1 (300 liters .with.) and 744Р2 (350 L. E.).


Production of the Kirov factory it became known outside the country: more than 12 thousand “Kirova” various series have been set for work to foreign countries. The products of the St. Petersburg plant and is now well known outside Russia – in Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Egypt, Vietnam, China and neighboring countries. In the intervening years, it produced over 464 thousand tractors.

The Assembly start with the left (det. I) and right (det. 2) the front floor side members of the frame, which are connected by a forward (det. 3) and rear (det. 4. 5) beams. To the right (det. 70) fuel tank, fix the upper (det. 93), medium (det. 94), lower (det. 96) footrests and handrail (det. 95). Similarly, fix the footboard (det. 97, 98 and 100, respectively) and handrail (det. 99) to the right (det. 72) fuel tank.

To the hood (det. 64) with two sides to the cubicle (det. 74) glue railings (det. 101 and 102, respectively). To the lower part (det. 103) of the exhaust pipe glued upper part (det. 104). Finished the exhaust pipe glued to the top (det. 73) hood. Collect the upper base (det. 106) pipe air cleaner to engine, on top of which sticking children. 106, and bottom – det. 108.
