Science fiction writers and scientists still scratching their heads on all sorts of devices and methods to overcome gravity — gravity. And in many industries, young innovators, participants NTTM, meanwhile, create a fixture, albeit more modest, to make “weightless” various mechanized tools, in particular, the heavy — electric.
One of such devices is demonstrated at the NTTM-78 innovators pilot plant scientific-production Association Optistreams. This spring balancer-a drum in which a strong spring balances are suspended on the rope to the desired height, a weight of 25 kg.
The device is made of aluminum casting consists of a body, a conical drum with a spiral groove for the cable and cover. In addition, a pair of worm to “adjust” the springs on the weight of the load.
Spring balancer:

The balancer is mounted above a work place, worm pair is governed by the degree of twist of the spring. To the cable wound on the drum balancer, suspended load, and it becomes weightless; it is now sufficient’ lightest effort to lower or raise it, to make it helps spring.
