COT – CHAIR

COT CHAIR

We are not talking necessarily about that which you have and continues to serve you, helping out, when the relatives descend or distant guests. If you still need it — let it stand in the closet or is on the mezzanine. But it is no secret that many throw them away as useless — how many of them find around the holiday villages, former pioneer camp or recreation. But the material of the tubes — durable, and the design of cots — conscience, that is, durable. Here I propose to give them a second life; it is especially useful to owners of summer cottages or garden houses, and just elderly people coming out to breathe in nature, in the nearest green area. I mean a light, comfortable folding chair.
To make it from folding is easy and available to almost everyone. This will require a hacksaw and any drill, and even the metal rod (or steel pipe).

EDITORIAL:

If you using this solution, make a few chairs — do not throw away the sawn-off middle parts of the clamshells. Flip them up scabbard: it is ready under film peritia greenhouse. By the way, is also foldable and lightweight, which is important for farmers and gardeners.

The idea is to cut the clamshell to remove the middle part (with the stem), and the “head” and “foot” parts again to connect to get a.
First, letís trace out the General on the tubes of the frame the places in which we will cut with a hacksaw. Choose them based on the desired size of the future seat. Pre-or after cutting the harvests of the metal rod insert with a length of about 80 mm (the diameter of the insert should allow it to firmly enter inside the tubes of the frame of the cot). In place of the cut, stepping back from his 30…40 mm, and in one of the tubes drill a through hole for future rivet or screw the M5; same drill hole in box. Then put them together and fasten with the screw. Then insert the looming end of the other abutting tube and drill them in Assembly. Finally the tube with the insert fastened by rivets or screws with washers and nuts. The frame of the chair ready.

If folding is preserved cloth of the rug, you can leave it for the chair. It is enough to remove the vacant former middle part of the spring stretching and bending, respectively, of wire insertion lounger, doubled the middle part of the cloth and put it on the seat. When the old cloth of the rug or the absence of it is better to sew a new tent or mattress fabric or canvas is any existing dense material. Thus the panel can be removable (see Fig.) or directly sheathed around the tube frame.

The benefits of the resulting chair is obvious: it is easier to any deck chair frame it is not afraid of moisture, and preserved from a clamshell ability to be folded makes it convenient to carry and store.
