THE FENCE IN THE ROOM…

FENCE IN THE ROOM...Among plants there are those that do not fit on the sill: their picturesque overgrown bushes contain large floor boxes with trays or tubs. And if the plants themselves look beautiful, their “packaging”, as a rule, spoil the view, no matter how it is decorated.

However, there is a simple but effective method of decorating such landings, proposed by the Polish journal “Mlada technician”. It is a miniature …the fence. It looks very natural as a neat picket fence on the plot, not only without disturbing the harmony of the room decoration, but rather adding to the interior element of originality and good taste in its decoration. Of course, assuming appropriate performance.

First of all by the fence should not be cumbersome. They will fit all the available tare boards. Only need to carefully handle their plane and sanded with emery cloth, after which, depending on the environment of the interior, to cover the light or dark furniture varnish or stain tinted composition or oil paint of the desired colour.

Assembly

The thus prepared plates pack into a decorative fence around the scheduled to the “masking” box. It will consist of separately composed boards, each of which is rallying thanks to the two transverse horizontal bar (from the same elementary plates).

However, this will require some preliminary calculations and the fitting Length of the cross bars should be slightly more side of the flower box below between the “fence” and the Bush remained a small space. In addition, the length of the strut will also depend on how many faces you will going to fence: form whether its four shields, or three, or perhaps five.

Once length is determined, the cross-fit fence with some gaps between them — for example, the thickness of the plates. This gives the opportunity to determine the number of shtaketin on one shield. At the same time laid on statting planned in pencil their height — it should be different: the shield of isometric planks will look rustic and uneven, on the contrary, very lively and interesting.

Preparing so of the fence and sawed off the excess, you can nail them to the cross. The resulting boards are connected by hooks, forming a split rail, or “tightly” thanks to the tie bars at the corners.

Pallet

In addition to the fencing it is advisable to make under the drawer with a plant and a tray. This can be a sheet of chipboard, the size of which are determined by the internal dimensions of the enclosure. Regardless of how you would connect the shields of the “fence”, pan to them do not mount: it is easier for the transfer box or plants.

Given that when watering the plants, water can seep on the tray, it must be protected from moisture by covering with several layers of oil paint.

Even better, if the tray is not a sheet and the trough. You can choose ready-made or make specially from the same sheet, the profit perimeter of the rack bumpers.

Inside this trough can be covered with plastic wrap with a slouchy fit at the sides: this will not only protect the pan, but also to prevent the ingress of water on the floor.
