When the bike starts moving, the relay K1 (see schematic diagram) and its contact group K1.1 connects the generator to the lamp HL1. At low speed or stops, the voltage applied to the winding of K1 decreases, and the movable plate returns to its original position, connecting the lamp HL1 to the battery GB1.
