BUER IN A BACKPACK

BUER IN A BACKPACKThe beauty of this glider, named “Tetra” (because of the shape of its frame), is that it is collapsible and place of training it is possible to carry in a bag or backpack. It weighs more than 20 kg. Frame glider — tetrahedron, assembled on bolts of duralumin or steel tubes. The mast compound, its elements represent segments of dural pipes with outer Ø 40 mm, stacked with pipe sections of smaller diameter. The lower part of the mast is integral with the frame Buer from the pipe Ø 50 mm.

Skates cut of steel 5-mm plates. All three are absolutely identical, which is important when assembling the glider. The rear skates are fixed in steel forks inserted into the pipe of the rear part of the frame. The front is hinged in the front fork tubes of a tetrahedron; curved aluminum rod, passed through the hole in the fork plays the role of a tiller — rudder.

The triangular base of the glider is tensioned panels made of tent fabric.

The sail yachts can be tailor from fabrics with a type of “pillow tick”, “Bologna” or technical AZT. Its connection with the mast is done using a pocket made of denser fabric. From it also are cut of lining sheet, the tack and head points of the corners. In the last two embedded eyelets — metal caps with holes for the backstay. Sail yachts has through the armor, the material is plastic W-shaped profiles that are generally used as guides for sliding glass cabinets.

The backstay sails and boom-mainsheet best done of nylon rope with a diameter of about 10 mm. For the transaction of the boom-sheet, you will need four blocks, and one of them double.
According to the technique of Buer control is virtually no different from a small Dinghy. It should be remembered that a ship on land is quite volatile, therefore at movement the athlete must your weight appropriately spread on the area of the base. Especially dangerous are the sudden wind — squalls. To fend off their blows, it is time to bleed (release) the boom-sheet and positioning the body closer to the windward side. Motion yachts on two skates is absolutely unacceptable, so it is important to monitor closely that all three of the skate gliding on ice. Otherwise long and capsize.

Gear Barista includes mandatory motorcycle helmet, safety belt (if the movement takes place on the frozen pond) and spiked shoes. Also desirable knee and elbow pads: their dignity you will appreciate after turn on bumpy ice.

Buer “Tetra” is not necessarily to put the fun in summer. His skates are easily changed on the wheels from scooter, and he thus turns into a “sand yacht” is a sailboat on wheels, on which it is possible to skate on flat areas of steppe, thumb dirt roads, sandy beaches.

Alteration is as follows.

Instead of the articulated front fork pipe is inserted into the dural adapter, f plug which is a standard children’s scooter with the wheel. The mounting of the rear wheels is somewhat more complicated. They are mounted on the rocker arm. The suspension of the wheels is Shnurov shock-absorber or rubber rings cut from old car or motorcycle tires. Standard wheel axle is replaced with a new one, fixed to the tubular swinging arm.
