TRACTOR FROM CARS

Thanks for the favorite magazine, which can be prescribed and stored since 1976. Many articles and tips from it helped in the construction of improvised equipment or improve production. My last design — a tractor, “CHILD”, named in honor of his grandson, who never miss an opportunity to ride with grandpa on his knees.

 

Four months from the pile of scrap metal, mostly without drawings and calculations, I created this need in an economy car and went into field work. Tractor working in the third year without much damage. During this time, brought it to mind: put the cab and equipped like a car. Still equipped with two-axle trailer with a lifting capacity of 2 tons Now mounted on it the hydraulic system for the suspension of different tillage implements.

 

Brief specifications of the tractor: engine diesel, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled with a capacity of 34 kW at 2200 rpm Most of units and parts — automotive. Frame cropped from the GAZ-51 from him — CAT, power steering. Transfer case from the GAZ-66. Rear axle — tapered from ZIL-157, front — UAZ-452, modified. Front brake hydraulic, rear — mechanical. Electrical system 12-volt. The speed from 3 to 60 km/h. Weight 2.2 tons.
