Designed and made by me lighting device externally, and by construction, some nodes resembles the flashing beacons of special machines. But the purpose of it almost the opposite — creating a smooth bright light, and at low power lamps — at a considerable distance. Well, since the scope of the devices are different and their structures are substantial, but rather fundamental differences.
First: rather slow screen rotating beacon, creating the effect of switching on and switching off of the device, replaced by a light reflector, such as those that are in car headlights or spotlights. The reflector focuses the light to a small (size and power) of the lamp in a certain direction, increasing the luminous flux, which gives the lamp a few times.
Second, the rotation of the reflector brought to a speed at which begins to show stroboscopic effect (n1 = 530, n2 = 430 rpm).
Stroboscopic effect, which is based on the work of my lamp, known for a long time. With its use working film projectors, televisions, computer monitors and even electric light bulbs and household lighting. Remind its essence. Our vision has inertia of perception and keeps mind on time to 0.1 seconds a now-vanished object or just dim light.
To demonstrate the possibilities of circular floodlight I have produced three similar lighting device, different power radiation and power sources. One of them — automotive option — offer the readers of the magazine “modelist-Konstruktor”.
The lamp consists of a housing, a light source (lamp), reflector and drive its rotation. As accessories of the lamp is equipped with a glass cover and a magnetic base.
Luminaire housing made of duralumin. The grade of metal is not important — this material was taken with the only purpose to the weight of the device was smaller. In the body and the body mounted all the parts, nodes and mechanisms. So, in the Central hole of the top fixed cartridge optical emitter — car light bulb driving light. Here, in angular contact ball bearing 46202 mounted hub-rotor, also made of duralumin.
On top of the rotor is mounted with three screws M3 reflector. It is made from the reflector of the automotive headlamp. In the lower plane of the reflector is a hole for the bulb. The reflector together with the rotor hub are balanced.
Circular lamp:
1 — body (duralumin, 120); 2 — electric motor DPM-20-N1-12B (12, n = 5000 Rev/min); 3 speed switch (M5 screw); 4 — outer drive ring (rubber Ø6); 5 — driven corrugated roller (made of anodized aluminum, round 7); 6 — hub-rotor (made of anodized aluminum, round 96); 7 — bearing 46202; 8 — electroputere; 9 — electric lamp 12 In; 10 — reflector (RR combination lamp); 11 — glass cap; 12 — screw M3 fastening of the reflector (3). 13 — M4 screw mounting of the cap (3). 14 — gauge inner ring (rubber Ø6); 15 — insulating bushing (rubber); 16 — power cable electric motor; 17 — base (magnet); 18 — spring (normally stretched)
The reflector rotates together with the rotor by an electric motor DPM-20-N1-DC12V, installed in the housing and eating, as the light from the onboard vehicle network voltage of 12 V.
Drive transmission — two speed friction transmission: the motor shaft mounted drive roller with a fluted working surface, and the hub of the semicircular grooves has two (outer and inner) with a rubber end. Gear shift is a displacement of the motor together with the roller from one ring to another using a M5 screw in the side wall of the housing.
At the end of the Assembly into the lower housing is inserted a circular magnet (can be used from a big dynamic sound head), which will allow you to fix a circular spotlight on the roof of the car. Top the device is closed by a transparent glass cover (will fit even a half-liter light Bank).
The average area illuminated by such a lamp is about 3 thousand m2 (radius of illumination up to 30 m) and more powerful — up to 10 thousand m2.
Such lamps can be made to power up from a voltage of 220 or 380 V. Only use for them have the appropriate electric motors and light sources. In addition, in their manufacture and operation must comply with the rules of electrical safety.
The scope of the circular projectors are very broad, and each will determine its own. Saving electricity (and therefore money) in their operation is also significant.
