In the right hand each refined model of aeropittura, left index finger slightly trembling, touching ready to spin the propeller. Finally, the command: “Start!” Engines do not fail young athletes; almost all microSD rush to the opposite shore. And what is happening in the ranks of the fans!
It seems that the models are flying of gliders — so easy. But at the same time all to the finish not come. That is what the competition to determine the best.
 
But the boats back in the hands of their creators. Starts on speed repeat twice more. And tomorrow, a new round of tests. Now the challenge is to make the glider go the maximum way. Here it is equally important not to lose a turnover to the propeller after the engine is started and quickly put the model on the water. But more importantly, to adjust the motor to ensure correct mode selection — the only thing that will bring success.
 
The least complicated and recent arrivals — on the accuracy of retention rate. Seems: here they are, “gates” close at hand. But it is as long as you don’t take the starting position. And interference a lot. Suddenly a wind gust takes the boat to the side. And a bigger wave will not allow to keep exactly the specified first direction. So here the “Start” command, and all for-in are given 15-20 minutes to each, depending on the weather, deciding at what moment to launch the model.
 
After the races starts counting result. But not only the points for speed, accuracy rate and range identify the winners. If you were lucky enough to do an airboat “salable”, but you wrote a programm it so that the model is difficult to distinguish from poorly hewn log, hope it is not necessary. Because there is still the work of the Commission, which will determine the quality and appearance of each presented microsun and give comp points the best of them; then it becomes clear who is the winner and who will take the other two steps of the podium.

Such competition can be made literally every ship modeling circle summer camp. Microglossary simple, and they have time to do for a change even untrained guys. And the motors do not “zakapriznichal” in the hands of beginners, because it has recently appeared on the shelves of the carbon dioxide DP-03. The complex composition of fuel is not required. You’ll need a number of cylinders with liquefied gas to siphon; each canister is enough for 2-4 refilling the regular tank power plant. Another advantage of this type of fuel is absolutely clean exhaust. This simplifies the finishing apparatus, they can be manufactured from all grades of foam without gluing and application of paints.
 
It is done we offer our micrometer. The whole body is represented by one part of foam of medium density, which after cutting the contours polished with fine emery paper. Protection against water only requires a few wood elements and simulation add-ons, if it is laminated of paper.

Special attention requires the installation of elements of plant — pylon and ring propeller. The first is pasted exactly on the plane of symmetry of the hull and in fact, their position determines the accuracy of the direction of movement. After installation of the parts under engine pylon is covered with waterproof varnish or enamel, and on it is mounted the engine with cropped propeller. Checking the accuracy of trimming blades (best to do it on a running motor), the screw is removed and replaced on the motor shaft put a cardboard washer, external diameter corresponding to the internal size of the ring. By means of such “caliber” ready ring glued in place. The result can be left between the blades and the ring gap of about 0.5—1 mm, which is useful for the efficient operation of the propeller.
 
Stroke adjustment of the glider is due to selection of the center of gravity along the length of the housing and the light bending tin rudder. When you explicitly need it will have a little rasp underwater keel, changing the angle of its installation, and re-ulcerate.
