FROM THE “UNDERWATER FROG” TO THE SUBMARINES-“DINOSAURS”
As we have seen, the “underwater thing” in France during the time of Napoleon special did not develop, despite quite a rich flow of suggestions, starting with Robert Fulton. However, ironically, the submarine had to rescue the deposed Emperor from captivity on the island of St. Helena. The twists and turns of a real trace in the history of shipbuilding have left, but are curious as illustrations of the rapid “underwater currents”, which was accompanied by the development of new technology.
HUMAN-TORPEDOES
A large part of the surface of the Earth is covered with water. Since ancient times people preferred to live near rivers, lakes, seas and oceans, learning the techniques of crossing water spaces. It was so even in the ancient world, as the formation of the merchant fleet, there are warships escorting the cargo ships.

THE VICTORIOUS CAMPAIGNS OF THE U-402

THE SOVIET “LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHTS”
The state of the Soviet cruise fleet in the early 30-ies of the last century can hardly be described as sad. The last ships of this class light cruisers of “Svetlana” have not been completed. Of the remaining into operation relatively quickly introduced, only one unit in the Baltic and the Black sea — “Red Crimea” and “Chervona Ukraine”, respectively. The third “lucky”, and with a much more interesting shipbuilding fate, became the “Admiral Lazarev”. Ship, ready to 1918, nearly 70%, after the revolution, became the object of various plans. In 1924 the Council of Labor and Defense passed a resolution on the completion of the cruiser with the installation of eight 203-millimetrovogo taken from old ships that are not subject to recovery. However, in the following year, Soviet designers started to create a fundamentally new naval gun. Original it was almost all starting caliber.
