In issue 9 of our magazine, a story was published with the exhibition NTTM-2011. Despite the rather significant amount, it was told only about transport designs, developed the student creative groups and young inventors. Side by side with them demonstrated their achievements and more young modelers and designers. Their work represented a variety of directions of scientific-technical creativity: from simple scale models to innovative technologies and projects of space systems. And it would be unfair not to tell about them.
NTTM-2011. GROWING UP CHANGE
When among students who have mastered only the basics of the original automodelisme, comes to talking about the class of simple machines, rubber motor, it is submitted immediately think “sophomoric”. They say, in the age of radio, heavy duty electric motors and internal combustion engines are very popular and widespread at the time the class is now an anachronism and good except for exploring the world of car.
Mini makiki always use the boys great success. And for good reason! Small size, cost-effective, modern appearance, excellent performance — what more can you ask for? Maybe that’s why many of them roll up his sleeve so take tools. After all, if you try, you can do mokik, able to compete with serial two-wheeled machines. However, it is not very easy, but it’s worth it.
This mini-tractor, Y. V. BALABIN, Amateur designer from Moscow city Lotoshino, built from what was found in a garage at home, with friends, in a scrap yard. However, “Scarce” (as he called his mini-tractor) is in the extensive garage of craftsman privileged position. Despite the fact that next to him are still jeep “Hugo” mini-mobile “Colibri”, the mechanical horse and maintenance — first and foremost, and repair in the shortest possible time. But how else? “Baby” is in fact the breadwinner of the family of its Creator! Without him and the garden for planting potatoes treated, and the crop will not be harvested.
The construction of any improvised apparatus – be it a car, a snowmobile or even a plane always starts with a dream. Dreams of a person capable and motivated. Despite popular opinion that handmade are built from lack of money, the real motive is creative grain and desire of expression. In addition, active people are annoyed by the fact that in our country carelessly throw away and destroy still usable machines and equipment. Why not give them a second life?
The human neck is very perfect mechanism that performs many vital functions. However, it is very compact, flexible and surprisingly agile. All this allows to consider it one of the most wonderful inventions of Nature. The only thing that the neck is not calculated, so it is in opposition to those forces which man puts his own head knowingly. The musculoskeletal system of the neck, for example, does not tolerate sharp linear motion and rotational motion of the skull that occurs when different kinds of shocks and blows, especially in the chin or neck. Such effects usually lead to a concussion or intracranial injury.
Mini-tractor must admit, I’ve built without any drawings (except the sketches of parts that he had ordered Turner), so to speak, to the eye, intuitive, having all components and assemblies as compact as possible and easier for the tractor. Then, the accumulation of operating experience, many times altered it. But more on that below. Built because I needed a mechanical servant, able to perform almost all the agricultural work on the plot. Such “abilities”, in my opinion, has tractor T-25 vladimirets. He was the inspiration when building my mini. Hence the nickname — “little brother.”
The owner of a light moped (or, according to modern classification — mo-led, i.e. motorbike), equipped with engine D-8, eventually notices that his two-wheeled machine is easy enough starts, sometimes not pulling uphill or bad overcomes the roads. And engine starting by using the Bicycle pedals, on the move, not too easy. However, a moped can be improved.
