Student design Bureau of Moscow Institute of civil aviation engineers have long occupied a leading position in the design, construction and research of trikes in porridge country. Doing for a long time, the construction and operation of velomobiles (was a prize winner of all-Union velofestivalya in šiauliai), I was convinced of their lack of practicality. The large size of the velomobile exclude the possibility of its storage in the apartment. Known foldable construction is complicated to manufacture and quite cumbersome. Used them on wheels, usually a Bicycle, not designed for the lateral loads experienced by the velomobiles on the bends.
When developing this design car trunk, the task was to create a device which, in addition to the normal daily functions would satisfy and lover of outdoor activities — would allow us to transport two sets of boards sailing in the summer and (with minor changes) 5-6 pairs of skis in the winter.

Burned on Chernobyl, faced in some places with the threat of an energy crisis, mankind increasingly turns its gaze on technical solutions, unfairly written off in the past in the archive. For millennia sail faithfully serve the people, helping them overcome the seas and oceans. But under the onslaught of steam and electricity, he had to concede the monopoly of the single marine propulsion. There was a period when the sails almost disappeared from the water expanses. And still thirst for romance, the desire to test their strength in single combat with the wind and waves in the soul of man died.
Perhaps you will agree, that more accessible and useful for the health of stadiums than small and large rivers, lakes and reservoirs, and a large number are scattered all over the country, it is difficult to come up with. But today, they, unfortunately, are mostly deserted. In recent years, water a bit back from the sails of the windsurfers, but also this wonderful sport has not yet become widespread. Obstacles are the relatively high cost of the equipment and the small scale of its production.
With the beginning of the summer season a long string of cars, “tired”, like their owners, in crowded cities during the long winter, at maximum speed mchu their owners to Sunny resorts. And more and more often on busy roads you can find cars with trailers, and in recent years — and intact houses-dachas on wheels. Many have thus successfully solve the difficult housing problem, getting rid of the problem of the presence or absence of free places in the campgrounds. Such structures are not repeatedly described in this magazine (see “M-To” № 6 73, № 7 75, № 7 77. № 5’79).
No matter what, the army of auto – and motor-fans continues to grow; it now joins a band of enthusiasts velomobiles transport. Much worse is the case with garages. However, they had remained a cherished dream of motorists and unattainable utopia of all others. Meanwhile, for the motor-fans and homebrew that creates micro cars, motorcycles and pedal cars, this problem is solvable. In particular, I managed to create a version of the garage… wheels, which can accommodate motorcycle, motor scooter or as me, a recumbent.
